Yogic spiritual teacher, author, and founder of Ambesh Yog Dham, Ambesh Ji was born in Rishikesh, India, into a traditional Hindu Brahmin family. Surrounded by the sacred energy of the Himalayas and the holy Ganga, his spiritual inclination and yogic discipline began at a very young age.
Ambesh Ji’s yogic journey started under the guidance of Brahmachari Rudradev Gowda, a senior disciple of B.K.S. Iyengar, where he developed a strong foundation in classical yoga and disciplined practice. Deeply rooted in the Guru–Shishya Parampara, Ambesh Ji was later initiated into Kriya Yoga, belonging to the sacred lineage of Swami Yukteswar Giri and Swami Hariharananda Giri, carrying forward an unbroken tradition of spiritual wisdom.
At the age of twenty, Ambesh Ji attended the Yoga–Vedanta course at Sivananda Ashram, Rishikesh, an experience that brought a profound transformation in his life and spiritual vision. This training refined his understanding of yoga beyond physical practice, integrating philosophy, meditation, devotion, and self-realization.
In February 2006, Ambesh Ji traveled to China, where he dedicated himself to spreading authentic yogic teachings. He continued teaching yoga and spirituality in China for nearly 19 years, inspiring thousands of students through traditional practices, yogic philosophy, and disciplined living. In 2011, five of his books were published in the Chinese language, marking a significant milestone in sharing ancient yogic knowledge with the modern world.
Through Ambesh Yog Dham, Ambesh Ji continues to preserve and transmit classical yoga in its pure form, guiding seekers on a path of physical health, mental clarity, and spiritual awakening.
